Should We Take Shortcuts
I like reading, learning, and taking on a challenge, academically. However, in certain settings, I feel taking a shortcut is easier than doing a task or carrying out an interaction manually.
But doesn't taking that shortcut make me vulnerable to more short pathways that might not be ethical?
I feel the answer here lies in the core ethics of an individual and their personality. For me, I have known, taken, and exploited shortcuts, disregarding the ethics of it. This has made certain facets of my life easier. Although disregarding the ethics, I do not disregard the value of true, raw knowledge.
Possessing knowledge induces a feeling that cannot be bought, cannot be attained through a shortcut, but can only be built, one piece at a time.
Anyways, I digress too much.
Should we take shortcuts? Yes.
Should we always take shortcuts? No.
